Mom, Jennifer and I had doctor's appointments or procedures on Tuesday and we all got great reports! Mom's oncologist says she is doing just fine and for the first time didn't schedule a bunch of tests for her. Jennifer is "cookin" right along with her pregnancy. We are trying to tell Nicholas to come on a Friday...his parents would prefer the 8th of February. Uncle Lance's birthday is the 9th, so who knows. I had a colonoscopy on Tuesday and it was fine too. Repeat in 2-5 years depending on who you talk to. Each doctor has his/her own opinion. I am just glad to have it over.
A judge in Florida determined that my niece has to move to New Jersey with her mom. This is heart wrenching on all of us! She'll be there at least 3 years until her step dad moves them back to Florida. I fear that with Jeff's limited time with her now, we may not see her for a long time. I pray that she remembers her family!!!
Jordan will turn 11 on Saturday and we're gearing up for a weekend of fun! We'll take her to a Japanese grill tomorrow night and our IL family is due to arrive on Saturday! (That is, if the snow doesn't keep them away!)
Like I said, big week in our family...lots going on. Makes me glad the week is almost over!

What a day!
I was blessed to be at the hospital for the arrival of Carolina, the daughter of some dear friends of ours. I continue to be amazed at the miracle of it all. I don't think words can discribe the awesomeness of seeing a baby come into the world. It's a lot different when you aren't the one in labor. :) Carolina weighed in at a whopping 6#, 3 oz and was 19 inches long. She is healthy and beautiful.

First attempt...
This is my first attempts at blogging. Several of our friends here have blogs and I thought I would give it a try. Why the name? I like chocolate and I agree with Forest Gump who said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." I never dreamed that I would be living here, preparing to be a pastor's wife. I had a picture of what my life would be like when I got married and this is so far from where I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong...I am very happy. Living in God's will has many blessings.
Today is one of those happy, comfort days. I am home with Jordan...where I like to be most. It has snowed and I am sipping a cup of java. We have no where to go until this evening and I feel like the stay at home mom I once was. I am completely content. I like this feeling!
